Export From MicroGrade | Import/Export With WebCT | Import To MicroGrade

From the “Select action” popup menu under “Manage Students” choose “Import student data” and click the Go button.

This is very important; WebCT cannot process names that contain a comma when the separator is a comma because the standard quote protocol is not supported. Therefore ,MicroGrade exports WebCT data with a Tab separator so that names such as “John Smith, III” can be successful uploaded to WebCT.

Once you have set the Separator to Tab, click Import and your student information will be imported.

To download information from WebCT navigate to the Manage Students area, as shown in the picture at the top of this page. Then click the “Download” button and a screen similar to the screen displayed on the right will appear.

Again, it is very important to change the Record separator from Comma to Tab. Once you have changed the separator to Tab, click the “Download” button.

Choose the option to save the file to disk and click OK.

Choose a convenient location and be sure to name the file with a “.txt” extension by removing the “.wct” from the end of the filename. This completes the download process.
