WebGrade is a subscription-based service that lets teachers upload grade and attendance information to the WebGrade site hosted by Chariot Software Group.

Frequently Asked Questions By Teachers

1. Why do I have to upload one class at a time?

The new WebGrade premium service includes the latest version of MicroGrade that allows multiple classes to be uploaded with only one log in. Click here to learn more about this new feature.

2. Why can’t I log in?

Check the following: A. Verify that you are entering your user name and password correctly B. Verify that you have "cookies" and Javascript enabled in your browser

3. How secure is the WebGrade service?

  • WebGrade reports have been accessed over 10 million times in the past 3 years. There has never been a security issue with the service.
  • Each WebGrade student account is password and log in ID protected.
  • The information uploaded by teachers contains no demographic information.
  • When teachers upload information to the system, the information they send is encrypted.

4. Why do my students need to have a different password and log in ID for each teacher?

There are two versions of the WebGrade system available. This version is for individual teachers at schools who chose not to site license the system for the entire school. Each class requires a separate log in ID and password. The site-licensed version of WebGrade requires only one password and log in to see all grades posted. 5. How can I receive email my students and/or their parents(s)?

The WebGrade system gives teachers the option of choosing to receive email from students and parents. There is a link on the teacher’s index page labeled "Click here to send email to instructor". Check your WebGrade index page to determine if that feature is enabled.

6. Why do “cookies” have to be enabled to access WebGrade?

WebGrade uses cookies to store your user name and password when you log in to view or upload your grades.

7. What are “Cookies”?

Cookies are very small files that store information about your computer. They do not harm your computer or allow the collection of any personal information about you.
