Chariot Software Group has strict security measures in place to protect the loss, alteration or misuse of the WebGrade information under our control.

• Chariot Software Group employs proprietary encryption technology to ensure the privacy of grades and other information transmitted online.
• WebGrade accounts are password-protected so that only authorized students, parents and instructors are allowed to access or view the information relevant to their WebGrade account.
• Chariot will not ask users for their password in a phone call or email. WebGrade users are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of their passwords and account information.
• Student information cannot be changed via WebGrade; information posted on the WebGrade site is "read only".

Privacy

Chariot Software Group is committed to safeguarding personal information online.

• WebGrade accounts are user ID and password-protected.
• WebGrade can only display the students' classroom data that is contained in the instructor’s MicroGrade class file.
• This information is accessible only by student ID's and passwords.
• There is no physical way for WebGrade to access any student information contained in the school’s or district’s information system
• WebGrade is compliant with the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations.
• WebGrade is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and with Children's Advertising Review Unit (CARU) Self-Regulatory Guidelines for Children's Advertising.
• Chariot does not collect any student or instructor demographic information.
• Chariot does not collect personally identifiable contact information.
• Chariot does not distribute any information to third parties, period.
• Chariot will never sell or share any personal information with any person or organization outside of Chariot Software Group
